Dear Friends,
I extend to you
a warm welcome to St. Hilary's parish.
Our parish mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are
striving to continue Our Saviors work on earth, by building up a
strong faith community. There is no better example of communal life
than, that which is found in the perfect community of the Father,
Son and Holy Spirit. The spirit of their love and mutual respect is
what we try to bring to all our programs and activities.
I encourage your active participation in the wide variety of
activities we offer for young and old, especially by sharing your
Time, Talent and Treasure. Of course the most important activity we
do, is the celebration of the Eucharist at Mass. The Holy
Eucharist, as the Church teaches us is the source and summit of our
life. In this great sacrament we remember the price of our salvation
the suffering death of Jesus Christ. His resurrected presence in the
Holy Eucharist makes possible our call to form one body in Christ.
In the spirit of His love I pray that you and your family will have
many loving and happy years here at St. Hilary's.
In the words of the
holy apostle St. Paul...
"I kneel before the
Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named that
He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in
the inner self and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through
faith that you rooted and grounded in love may have the strength to
comprehend what is the breadth and length, height and depth and to
know the love of Christ so that you may be filled with all the
fullness of God" (Ephesians 3: 14 - 19)
